Canadian Utility Services has experience in the completion of earth structures of various types designed to hold water for a variety of purposes. CUSL has the expertise, specialized equipment and project management skills required to meet the engineered specifications and requirements to ensure a successful completion of these types of projects

Landfills

Canadian Utility Services constructs landfills to the highest levels of certification, including Alberta Class 1.

We construct all embankment, clay liners, sub-drain and leaching collection piping and all layers of geo-synthetic liners. These landfills are usually covered with a layer of aggregate to assist in any leachate drainage.

CUSLs strong project management team has the skills to complete landfills projects from start to finish.

Tailings Management

Canadian Utility services understands the environmental responsibilities and concerns of our clients, as well as the governing requirements for fluid handling ponds. CUSL has the capability to provide removal of solids, clean up, reclamation and earth works for tailing ponds and management.

Winter Exploration

Canadian Utility Services Ltd has been heavily involved in many winter coring programs throughout Canada. CUSL has the capabilities of opening up and freezing in winter access routes, building temporary drilling pad sites and constructing ice bridges over river and stream crossings. CUSL also reclaims any disturbed areas following completion of winter exploration activities.

CUSLs Project Management team is sensitive the time restrictions for Winter Exploration projects.

Slope stabilization

Slope stabilization, whether it be related to new construction work or as a result of a compromised failure of an existing constructed earthen slope, requires strong engineering expertise and a first class contractor to successfully complete construction or rehabilitation of that slope to ensure proper stabilization.

CUSL works closely with design engineers to ensure proper construction techniques and practices are considered and evaluated for successful completion of any slope stability project.

Road Building

There are many levels of both permanent and temporary road construction.

Road construction sometimes begins with logging. Timber may be salvaged. Next we be site drainage, building service, culvert installation, geotextiles, aggregate and soil. All according to detailed specifications. We will be using borrow pits or common materials as a project requires.

For roads that need to travel over creeks or other water sources. Canadian Utility Services is experienced in bridge construction and can assess, build and maintain both temporary or permanent bridges as required, sometimes in remote areas across Canada.

CUSL is committed to complete construction according to all engineer specifications, government safety and environment regulations as well as on time and on budget.

Excavations

Canadian Utility Services has the equipment and training to complete excavations for building structures, stormwater ponds drainage ditches or piling caps all on time and in budget.

Well Sites & Leases

Canadian Utility Services will build all roads necessary, clearing and removing trees, leveling site and performing any groundwork required for this new facility.
